Tshepo Master Electrical is an electrician based in South Africa whose brand identity I developed through the nonprofit Uhambo 8286. He started off with almost no branding, and my goal was to create an entire brand identity which matched up with his values, along with providing him with a flyer and business card to be used as advertisement.
Mood Boards
I created 3 mood boards for Tshepo, each with a unique style. The first one is supposed to be high end and professional. The second one has references taken from the tech industry. The third one took his existing colors while adding a more sleek professional look to it, since he said he would like to consider a variant with his old colors. After being presented with all three, Tshepo chose the first one.
Logos
I then created these 3 logos inspired by the first mood board. The first and third use hexagonal shapes like shown in the mood board, however the second one still uses sharp geometry and angles, but with more of a variety of shapes. I presented all three of them in black and white, and he went with the second one.
Final Logos
I then created color variants for different situations. First is for situations when the logo needs to be on black or any other dark background, the second is a plain black variant, and the third is the colorized logo.
Business Card
Using the logo and mood boards I had already developed, I created a business card for him to use.
Flyer
The final thing I needed to create for Tshepo was a flyer which listed his experience and services. I used a rough texture and also incorporated more strong geometry in the flyer.
